Biography of Oz Rodríguez

Oz Rodríguez is a Dominican director, writer, producer, and editor whose work moves between grounded comedy and big-hearted genre.

He directed the Netflix feature Vampires vs. the Bronx, the Hulu feature Miguel Wants to Fight, and episodes of series including Nobody Wants This, The Four Seasons, Deli Boys, Bupkis, Kevin Can F**k Himself, and A.P. Bio.

Rodríguez spent a decade directing filmed pieces for Saturday Night Live, where the work demanded a rare combination of visual clarity, performance instinct, and speed. In 2025, he co-directed the Emmy-nominated special Ladies & Gentlemen… 50 Years of SNL Music.

His first middle-grade novel, The Girl and the Robot, co-written with Claribel A. Ortega, was published by Disney in 2025.
